A little update

Hello friends!

We’re just popping in here for a little update on our progress. Even though you might not see much newness on the website, we are still plugging along behind the scenes. We have finished the recording for song #5 and are working to push that out to you all soon. (Actually, if you can spare a minute, you could pray for our friend who helps with the recording process. His mom has been sick, and while she is doing progressively better, it is taking a toll on him and all of the work he wants to get done. He is a strong man and is still working feverishly, but a person can only take so much.) We have some new LSquare Music friends who have stepped up to keep this project moving forward, and we hope to have a specific date for the release of song #5 soon. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter updates for news about that.

On the writing side of this process, we had a successful open house to present song #7 last Thursday. The evening started with a pot luck dinner of shrimp ceviche, creamy chicken and rice, guacamole, queso fundido, and cookies for dessert- so yummy! After digesting a little bit, we shared our new song with the people who were able to make it and got some feedback on how to improve it. It was a very profitable time both for building community and improving our song writing. We were encouraged by those who came out to hear our music and by their helpful interaction with the song. Thanks to those of you who were there! And perhaps after our lovely description of the evening, more of you will be able to join us next time.

Finally, let’s talk about the website. Things have been running pretty smoothly, so we’re happy about that, but we want to keep growing it and making sure it’s meeting the needs of our audience. One way that we hope to do that is by adding a tab with recommended listening options. If you like what you’re hearing from us but need more than just a few songs to fill your playlist, we want to tell you what else we enjoy listening to and broaden your musical horizons. We’re hoping to include some music written specifically for the church, and some other artists that might be geared to a broader audience but have a valuable message. If there is another component to the site that you would like to see, please contact us! We would love your feedback! We are here for you!
